Parents have the ability to access their child’s account to see updates, grades, and other course content. However, as parents are not members of a course, they will not receive notifications about updates or any new content added to a course. If parents choose to seek out information about a course, whether it be an update, grades, or new content, they need to navigate to the information posted in Schoology.


Information specifically intended to inform parents or requiring actions by parents, will be communicated via Messages. Depending on parent notification settings, parents will receive an email notification when a message is sent to their Schoology account.

Navigating to Course Content

1. Select the upside down triangle beside your name.

2. Select your child.


3. View your child’s class and group feeds.

4. Select specific content to view

5. To see a course specific view of updates, click on one of your child’s courses and select Updates for that particular course.
