As a member of Schoology, you can elect to receive email notifications from courses, groups, schools, and different people within your network. As the volume of notifications can be overwhelming at times, we suggest adjusting these settings to suit your desired level. Suggested Settings
Academic
The most important update to have turned on is Course Update Posted. This will allow you to receive email notifications when your teacher posts something to a course you are taking. All other notifications are less important and can be turned on or off at your discretion.
Groups
It is suggested that you turn on your email notifications for group updates, this way you will be notified of any important information being posted out to groups you are part of. Other email notifications can be turned off.
School
It is suggested that you turn on email notifications for School Updates, but turn off notifications for Update Comments. This will allow you to receive important school wide updates.
Customize
You can also choose to customize your notification settings for particular courses or groups from within your notifications settings page, or from within a course.
Once you have selected Custom, you will have the option of choosing the specific course or courses you would like to apply the settings to.
You also have the option of changing your notification settings from within a specific course.
