Built-in to Schoology is an audio recording tool for students to practice presentations, participate in discussions or assess pronunciation in world language courses.

  1. Create a discussion within a Schoology Course.

  2. Direct students to the discussion within your course, and instead of writing a comment click on the Audio/Video Recording tool.

  3. Select Audio. 


  4. Allow the use of your microphone or camera. 

  5. Click the Start Recording button to record your voice.
  6. Click Play and Insert when happy with the recording to insert it into Schoology


  7. Add suitable text to the discussion and click post.

  8. Schoology will convert this recording into a suitable format and will allow you to click the play button to listen to the recording within the discussion.

  9. Alternatively, after clicking play, you can right click and select save video as, to download an MPEG-4 file, which can then be played in a suitable media player.
